@Ketan Majmudar: Great chatting with you! The web site I mentioned to you as being "like-minded" was www.biznik.org, my friend Dan McComb runs it.
Look me up if you're in Seattle, and let me know if you're heading to Berlin for the Web 2.0 Expo.
@Heidi Pollock: I enjoyed your talk - haven't done mobile stuff since back in 2000 with WML, so it was frightening to learn that things had ultimately gotten worse in the meantime!
Really, you could have gotten more technical Heidi - your expertise could easily have made for a good technical workshop presentation.
@Heather Champ: it was so great to meet you and have a chance to chat about the culture of the web.
@Ben Wong: hi ben, sorry i missed you at the expo. let's get in touch this week and i can send you some.
@Jordan Schwartz: thanks for the help jordan. so are you guys going to have this up for the web 2.0 expo in berlin? that would be excellent. hope we get to talk more then and not just about my technical problems. it was great to meet you. see you soon.
@Sarah Ward: i know, i never found you either. and the badge sms wasn't working for me. ugh. i hope you had a great time.
@James Christie: hey, i never saw you. we can get in touch this week and i can send you a t-shirt. hope you had a great time.
@Ed Wong: i'm sorry i didn't get to meet you. i didn't see your message in time. let's get in touch this week. i can send you a t-shirt. ;)
@james vreeland: A very cool site you got there james! Thanks for the subversion tips at the workshop day as well. I hope you enjoyed your last one. Ted's was awesome :)
@john morse: Hi, yes, it was very good. The first day. Very useful for what I do here in web app development. Did you enjoy it? I posted on my blog which presentations I liked most, you can check out: http://gz.sunsblog.net
@Heidi Pollock: hi
just a note to say i enjoyed your your presentation, interesting to see that things haven't really chages that much since wml and wmlscript, same kind of issues, same (similar limitations, seriously more browsers....i keep telling my web developers that they never had it so good ;)
I'm happy to go into more technical detail any time. Either pull me aside at the conf or email me later!
@Leah Culver: hey leah - you might be the only other U of M - minnesota person here. would be fun to meet if you are around today or tomorrow.
@Jodi Church-Wagner: I checked into your SMS status. You couldn't join with a UK number because you'd already registered a US number (can't have someone "claiming" someone else's name). If you change your number here on CrowdVine, you should be good to go.
@howard scott: apparently we are matched - want to hook up? email/mobile on my profile...
great presentations so far - another hour of Umair Haque would have been welcome ... http://www.bubblegeneration.com/index...
@Robert Kalin: Robert. I enjoyed your talk earlier, thanks for that. I drew quite a few parallels with your experiences with Etsy and the things we're trying to do at my company.
@Scott Pritchett: I'm at the back charging my ol' g4 powerbook - daren't wave, it might put daniel burka off :)
@Derek Powazek: Great session this morning Derek. Also I've just read your book and would like to add my vote to the "make a 2nd edition" campaign!
@Sarah Ward: Hi Sarah, of course we can meet, you you wave your arms frantically ? :)
@Ryan Behrman: Hi Ryan, I look forward to catching up on Wed / Thursday. I trust all is well with you! Cheers, Rob
@Gavin O'Carroll: Thanks Gavin, rememble.com looks great! let's meet to talk 'personal archives'!!
@Mel Kirk: Hi Mel,
Is there going to be somewhere we can leave our luggage at the conference if we have travelled far to the venue? Thank you and hope to meet you on Wednesday :)
@Henrik Ahlen: The map is linked right under your name on your profile screen. It's based on what you entered for location when you filled out your profile.
@Ryan Carson: Ey Ryan! We had a good time in Barcelona in the roadtrip! Let's meet in the event!
@Sergio: Hey Sergio, por fin un español en toda esta marabunta ;) Yo soy de Madrid pero espero que podamos vernos esta semana por ahí!
Un saludo!
Alex
@James Christie: Sure James. My contact info is on my profile, so you can always get a hold of me. I will be bring some with me, so be sure to get in touch and find me, so I can give you one.
:)
@Christian Fenner: Hi Christian, Tribax sounds very interesting! Looking forward to hearing about it.
Cheers, Dave
@Ted Rheingold: Ted - we're so glad you could join us at the show. Keep up the good work on Dogster.
Check out the map to see where everyone is coming from.
Just zoom out so you can see all of Europe. Nifty!
@Jodi Church-Wagner: Thats a good question - its far from obvious!
If you add a location to your profile then it appears under your name. If you click on this it takes you to a yahoo maps mashup with location markers all over it.
I came across it by accident.
@Jodi Church-Wagner: Hi there :) I'm going to Birmingham on Thursday evening. So I will only have some spare time on Tuesday. Thanks tho, looking forward to see you on the conference!
@Piotr Bogdanowicz: showing people around is one of my favorite things to do in london. i wish i was going to be there earlier, so i could show you around, but i don't get in till the evening. how long are you staying?
Hi - According to the map I'm the only person making the Journey from Northern Ireland to the conference - is this really true? Anyone else out there (I see a few from Ireland but none from the North).
@Ryan Carson: Hey Ryan,
I had a great time at the Road trip in A'dam. Hope to see you at the conference! :)
@Jakub Szelagowski: Dzieki za dobre slowo:-)
Mowisz plynnie po szwedzku? A moze myslales o wczesniejszej emeryturze?;) Widzimy sie na Webstop-meeting?
Hey! My plane arrives on Tuesday in the morning so I will have a full day to visit London (never been there before). So if anyone wants to hang out, join for a pint or even show me around - feel free to contact me :)
@Andreas Gebhard: i keep stopping by to see if you're there, but it's always closed. i owe you something. don't let me forget.
@Sarah Ward: beef curry, pancake roll and rice? anyone? c'mon it's friday anyway! :-)
@Jodi Church-Wagner: Hey Jodi! Thanks for your kind words about my Women in Tech article. Glad you liked it :) If you see me, come say hi! (And vice versa. I have blue hair and should be easy to spot.)
@Daniel Todd: Hi Daniel. Can you shed a light on that interactive time line?
Does it have Flash front-end?
@Richard Roberts: Timetoast is a RIA that allows people to create interactive timelines. If you see me around I'll give you a quick demo :)
@Arkadiusz Hajduk: My master plan is to rule the world and then retire in Sweden :-P Ciekawy koncept z FairRates!
@David Owens: Hiya, first time I've heard of this one. You'll have to tell me more and FOWA :)
@Sarah Ward: I hadn't realised how big Nectar has got. Have you seen what these guys are doing? http://attentiontrust.org/ It would be interesting to hear your views on ownership of the data you are collecting.
@Amy Hoy: i just read your article "I Don't Like Articles about Women in Technology". i loved it and saved it to my bookmarks. i completely agree with you on taking responsibility for your own life. i tell people, that being honest with yourself is going to be tough. we have so many defense mechanisms, we are just too prone to use. but it is necessary. anyway, before i ramble on, just wanted to say "excellent work!"
@Jodi Church-Wagner: Thanks - It's one of the first ones from the series. I need to get them finished so I can organise a show somewhere.
@Amy Hoy: Hi Amy,
love your writing. I still haven't sat down to take a proper look at ruby/rails yet though...
@Richard Roberts: Hail fellow Roberts!
Thanks for the comments on bigfilebox - it's our first RoR app, but it's worked really well for our target audience.
@Michael Stephenson: you want to meet a nice lass at the expo? like you said, these events are dude heavy, which means not only will there probably be only a handful of nice ladies, but their choice in men is extremely high, making it easier for them to be a bit pickier. you might have better chances in the bars and nightclubs of london. anyway, good luck with the peacock theory. i'm sure you'll meet some nice lass.
@Kevin Rose: Hi Kevin. I'm a big fan of digg and powce. I'll say hello if I see you. :)
@Tom Inglis: Hi Tom,
No problem, glad I could help. Be sure to swing by the Registration area and say hi!
Mel :)
@Jeff Ward: Hey Jeff, I'd love to chat during the KickApps session - Yikesite looks like an interesting product.
@Mel Kirk: Hey Mel,
Thanks for helping me sort out my Conference Pass. You are legendary!
Bestest,
Tom
@Jodi Church-Wagner: Jodi, it's time well spent marketing and business networking for Mister Wong.
@Tony Lucas: Hey Tony,
I am really excited about your Flexiscale product, it looks to be fantastic!
Bestest,
Tom
@Jakub Szelagowski: Thanks for the feedback! I hope the crowdvine experience translates into a ton of hallway conversations for you.
@Tony Stubblebine: Well done with crowdvine mate!
It's going to be cracking conference.
See you soon!
